Summer Reading

Just thought I’d share a great website.

In my experience, I have seen a lot of clients who come to me who know their diagnosis, e.g. depression, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, etc., but don’t know anything about it.

One of the things I do immediately in this situation is I point them in the direction of the National Institute of Mental Health Publications page.  There they find a number of good booklets (not pamphlets) on different diagnoses and their treatment.

I think it is only fair that if you are given a diagnosis, you should be informed what exactly it is and what are good treatments for it.

Enjoy the reading!
