Sybil: a cautionary tale

An interesting bit of news about this very famous story.  In the field of counseling, the existence of Dissociative Identity Disorder (what used to be Multiple Personality Disorder) has always been in question.

What are your thoughts about how the psychiatrist handled it?  I personally think she went overboard, but then, I wasn’t there.
