A quarter century. A generation.

I’m celebrating 25 years as a social worker today.

Thanks go out to my clients (who have always been my best teachers), my professors, my supervisors, and my colleagues over the years.

I’m grateful that I’m making more than the $17,000 per year that I started with the year after my year with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps (we won’t talk about what I was paid in the LVC–key word being Volunteer), but I’m far more grateful for the wealth of wisdom I’ve gained from doing this great work.

It has been humbling, but a wonderful way to serve others and God while I’ve grown over the years.

Thanks to all.

  1. Must have and continues to be an amazing journey. About 10 years for me and I can’t picture doing anything else.
